The Diet
South Beach Phase I blows. LOL We’ve moved to Phase II in an attempt to be able to stick with it. We’re doing great, though. I’ve lost 5lbs (some of it is water weight, I’m sure) and HotHubby is down 6lbs. Found some fabulous sugar free candies that make it easier for me to not to succumb to the chocolate cravings (made worse by the fact that my period is trying to start).
My Mum is having her surgery on Monday, today her home is on the Christmas Tour in her town. I cannot WAIT to see pictures. I’m a huge fan of her house and Christmas. For those that don’t know, we got married at her home on November 15th, 2003.
London is asleep, SuperGlue is at school and Fedex (FireCracker who fedex’s stuff all around the house) is watching the Doodlebops after having a 930 wake up.
TeamRachel aka mrskatvon is both a website to gain public awareness of Juvenile Batten Disease (which affects my oldest daughter) as well as a journal to remember the events in our lives.
Rachel was diagnosed with Batten Disease in July 2009 and while we knew something was "not right" we had no idea that such a nightmarish disease existed. There are dozens of nasty, orphan disease which affect people both very young and old.
Aside from dealing with the changes of Batten Disease in my daughter, Rachel, I have tasked myself with making life memorable for all of my children to make sure that (at least) 3 of them grow up to be as well adjusted and happy as possible.
