Friday Funday
Today we left my parents house after staying with them for the last four days while we had some floor work done on the house. My Mom asked me if it was nice to be home and it made me sad that I wasn’t really overjoyed with being back here. This place doesn’t feel like home, we don’t have any fond memories yet. It’s a house, not a home. Hopefully that will change once we have had Christmas here and get around to making some memories, both the good and the bad kind.
John turns 34 on Tuesday, I still have to figure out what I am going to do for his birthday. I have one gift for him. I did buy a second but it still hasn’t arrived. Oh well. If it is one thing that John and I have learned, birthdays and holidays are not about the gifts.
I can’t believe Christmas is just about a week away. Rachel is super duper excited, and Julie is excited but she really hasn’t grasped the whole “Christmas Morning” scenario. I’m sure she’ll adjust when she wakes up to presents and fun. She’s good like that.
Glad to hear from you…You guys should totally throw an office party
Back home my inlaws went to a work Christmas party and a bunch of other small companies from town were there as well. They said it was great to expand it a bit further.
I am looking forward to many family Christmas photos from you
